How to monitor Samarth Implementation through GitLab

The Nodal Officer of the University will use the Gitlab Board - Rollout Monitoring to monitor Samarth eGov Suite progress in the University. Each University onboarded in Samarth Project will have their own project baord where the Nodal officer and other competent authorities can oversee the following:

  1. Handholding of Modules(Upcoming and already conducted).
  2. Follow up sessions and discussion on feature requests and new updates.Feedback and new feature request.
  3. User Acceptance and Signoff.

Steps to be followed

  1. Login to Project Samarth Dashboard with your credentials.
  2. The rollout monitoring project will be visible on the screen.
  3. All the web meeetings, handholding sessions will be recorded in the project in form of issues. Each issue will have:
    • Label - Indicates the associated module.
    • Milestones - Indicates the broader goal during implementation.

Important information

  1. Status of an issue can be checked by clicking on Boards on the left side navigation menu.
  2. You can check the assigned tasks to you in the top right corner by clicking on the to-do button.
  3. You can engage in a discussion with the team through comments.
  4. You can tag people involved in a project using "@".

Glossary

  • Issues - An issue is a medium for organising and planning work. Issues can be created for handholding sessions, error, feedback or any relevant request.
  • Label - A label indicates the module upon which the request has been raised. It shall be assigned to each issue.
  • Board - A board shall represent the stages of change implementation. The issues will transition between the stages shown as lists on the board.
